You’re meeting someone.

They ask what you do.

You say, well, I’m an X.

I do Y, I do Z. I even do some A, B and C.

Oh yeah, and some of my clients need me for P, Q and R as well.

That’s all well and good.

But it can work against you.

If you do too many things, you can come across as not being great at any of them.

Which means you end up competing on price. Not on expertise.

Take action: Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
